Pineapple Banana Smoothie

One of my favorite breakfasts to drink on a hot summer morning.

HERE'S ALL IT TAKES

One Serving

  • 1/3 cup crushed ice
  • 1 large rip banana
  • 1/2 cup fresh vanilla yogurt
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup unsweetened pineapple juice

Blend until smooth either in a blender or with a immersion blender (I love mine).

DRINK UP!

My kiddos naturally love drinking my breakfast smoothie recipes. I asked them before I got started if they wanted one. I was glad to make enough for everyone.

"No." They said.

"It's really yummy." I said.

"No, thank you." They said.

"Ok, I'm only making enough for one." I said.

As soon as I had it poured into my glass, they descended on me. Sniffing around my glass, watching me drink it and giving me that look that says, "aren't you going to offer me any?"

Kids. *sigh*

  • LOL! Isn’t that always what happens? :-) These smoothies are going to be great for my girls. The older one doesn’t wake up well no matter how much time she has in the morning. She doesn’t like to eat real food until she’s been up a couple of hours and half the time she gets off to school without any breakfast. This smoothie is a great idea. I bet she’ll be happy to drink a smoothie for breakfast … especially because when we do have them it’s been for dessert so it will feel like she’s getting away with something! LOL!

I tagged you for a meme over at my blog if you want to play!

  • Hi Teresa!

Your kids sound just like mine.
My Max likes to be awake awhile before eating, where as, Maggie comes to me every morning, squinty eyed with one eye barely open and asks for orange juice and her cheerios, dry in a bowl.

Why do kids tell us how they want their food as if we don’t know how to make the food they like?
