Honey Mustard Chicken from the Slowcooker

As slow cooker chicken recipes go, this one has got to be the easiest one I've ever run across.  The honey mustard sauce will have you going back for seconds.  Cook up a side a rice and you have a great meal.

HERE'S ALL IT TAKES

Serves 6

* 1 (3-pound) fryer, cut up
* 1/3 cup butter, melted
* 1/3 cup honey
* 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon curry powder

Place chicken pieces in the crockpot or slow cooker.  Combine butter, honey, mustard, salt and curry.  Pour over chicken.  Cook chicken 7 to 10 hours on LOW, or 3 to 4 hours on HIGH.

  • I decided to make this for dinner and all was going well until the wonderful aroma of curry started to fill the house. That got my brain churning and then my tummy yearning for curry chicken. I ended up adding the following:
    two carrots,sliced
    one small onion cut in to wedges
    one celery stalk,sliced about 1/2in thick
    two baking potatoes, peeled and diced
    almost a whole can of chicken broth
    1 1/2TBLS more of curry powder
    1 tsp coriander
    red pepper (we like it hot)

    It was awesome! (If you like curry) I served it over rice and my husband and two boys cleaned the crock pot out.

    Thanks for the great recipe, which led to an idea, that was a winner in this house.

    K~

  • Six ingredients. That’s the best kind…other than five ingredients. Sounds wonderful btw, thanks!
