This recipe comes from a hard working mom and loyal reader of SDR, Cassie McBride.
Cassie said, "This recipe is supposed to be a 'dip', but I add chopped chicken, ham, or sausage and make it the meal."
HERE'S ALL IT TAKES
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 8 ounces sour cream
- 1/4 cup green chilies
- 2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cooked meat of choice (or none)
- 1 loaf French Bread the wider the better
Heat oven to 350ºF. degrees.
Saw loaf length wise down the middle. Hollow out bottom half, and save bread pieces. Mix all ingredients listed until well blended. Transfer into bread bowl and place bread pieces on top of mixture. Cover with top half of bread. Wrap in tin foil tightly 2 times. Place on oven rack and bake for 1hr and 10 min.
