Let's kick off the new school year with a life saving cookbook giveaway. There's nothing better than a cookbook that brings peace, joy and happiness to the dinner table. Am I right? I know I'm right!
Thanks to Stephanie O'Dea and Molly at Hyperion Books, I can giveaway one copy of More Make It Fast, Cook It Slow to one very special reader on SimpleDailyRecipes.com. YEAAAH!
You see that social media bar on the left side of this column? It starts with the Facebook thumbs up "Like" button, then there's a Submit button for StumbleUpon, followed by the Twitter button, then Google's +1 button (VERY IMPORTANT BUTTON), and finally the email button.
HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO GET YOUR NAME IN THE HAT
- Go to your 3 favorite recipes on SimpleDailyRecipes.com and use those social media buttons to share those recipes with your online family. If you have more than 3 favorite recipes, then by all means share them all.
And with every recipe you come across here on SDR, turn that Google +1 button from white to blue by clicking on it. That one tells Google that SimpleDailyRecipes.com is a great source for simple recipes.
FINALLY,
- In the comment section below this post, list the recipes you shared.
This giveaway is for everyone. The book is sitting on the desk and can be mailed anywhere the U.S. Post Office will allow me to send it.
I will pick one winner NEXT SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2011 by noon, Texas time.
NOW, LET'S HAVE FUN!
If you would like to learn more about More Make It Fast, Cook It Slow, read the book review I wrote up for SDR.

I liked/stumbled/tweeted/+1′d Loaded Potato Potluck Favorite (still our fav potato recipe), Friday Night Pizza, and Garbanzo Beans and Zucchini Dinner (which, actually, I’m making tomorrow).
WOO HOO! Thank you Deborah!
I liked, tweeted and I think stumbled upon (new to that) about Best Sweet Potato Pie, Broc. Salad, and Loaded potluck potatoes. Love all your recipes. Thanks for chance to win. I didn’t find that Google+ thing on those.
THank YOU, Susan!
I did it on my IPad. Then when I looked at FB…it doesn’t show where I liked them. So I got on my desktop and the emblems aren’t even showing up on here. Weird.
That is weird, Susan. What browser are you using on your desktop?
I’ve shared:
Creamy Penne Pasta & Chicken
Simple Vanilla Pancakes
Sour Cream Chocolate Cookies
THank you, Danielle!
I FB liked and google plused:
Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffin
Healthy Blueberry Muffins
Banana Bread Anytime
I actually love all your bread recipes…and a whole lot of the other recipes too. We’ve made the above recipes a couple of times!
Thank you, Janetta!
I am new to computers, I liked 3 soups, tomato and garbanza beans being my favorite, I hit the like button. Now I am lost I don’t twit, stumble (I don’t drink) or do anything else. Very confusing.
Thank you, Elizabeth!
Hi Jill,
I shared on FB, tweeted, stumbled & gave it a +1. The 3 recipes I shared are:
Broccoli Salad or Slaw,
Garbanzo Beans and Zucchini Dinner,
Duke Street Mushroom Pasta Sauce
p.s. I really like her original Slow cooker book!
Thank You, Hannah!
I liked, stumbled, tweeted and +1′d this particular post. I will +1 recipes I like and be back! Great giveaway Jill!
Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins, Fudge Brownies, Sticky Caramel Rolls (I have to make these soon!), Simple Pecan Pie, and Monkey Bread! Can you tell I’m a sweet fiend?
THANK YOU, SHELBY!
My favs….Pea, Beans & Quinoa/Quinoa and Tomato Salad/Spinach and Quinoa!
Oh my! Yum! I don’t wait for cooler weather to bake the Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins or the Banana Cake-Like Muffins. These make a great breakfast treat for the grandkids and especially for me! All I can say about the Russian-Style Cabbage Rolls Made the Fast Way is “GENIUS”! Why didn’t I think of that?! Because I can’t narrow my favs down to just three, I must mention that I love it that you can sneak in the great flavor and extra nutrition of veggies into the Meaty Butternut Squash Chili. Now excuse me while I get busy in the kitchen.
I “liked” zesty fiesta salad, chicken chow mein made by a kid, and pumpkin apple streusel muffins – now I’m hungry!!
I like kung pao chicken, meatloaf & baby back ribs. I get u via email.
Basmati rice and spanish lentils salad, kung pao chicken, and squash dressing were the three I shared.
My three favorites are:
Roasted Chicken with Garlic and Herbs (Easy, this one is in the oven right now! I am roasting a chicken and then making broth for tortilla soup tonight.)

Shrimp in Zippy Tomato Sauce
https://twitter.com/#!/HSlater351/status/108226587593412608
and Slow Cooker Carnitas
I just printed this one to try next week. I have a feeling it’s going to be a new favorite.
