Frozen Fruit Slush

I did not create this frozen fruit recipe.  It was passed to me from a Mom who does not cook, much or mostly not at all.  It's totally refreshing and absolutely perfect for an outdoor event!

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • Juice of 3 large lemons (1/2 cup)
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 large can of crushed pineapple
  • 3 bananas, sliced

In a separate bowl, dissolve sugar with warm water.  Assemble the remaining ingredients in 13x9x2 casserole dish and freeze.  Set out 1/2 hour before serving.

Variations:Dissolve the sugar in warm water in a pitcher, then add all other juices.  Fill paper cups with fruit first then pour juice mixture over fruit.  Honestly, I have no idea how many fruit cups this will make.  It depends on the size of the cups and how much fruit you use to fill them.

  • Okay, this recipe was a BIG HIT! I should have taken recipe cards with me to the party. I’ll know better next time.
Also, next time I make this, I want to try grape juice and frozen mixed berries instead of orange juice, pineapple, and grapes.
