Real quick. I wanted to show off our Maggie. She's becoming quite a serious cook in the kitchen. And she's picking up on Mommy photographing all the food.
She asked me to take a picture of her snack creation. (Folks, I DID NOT ask her to pose. I said "I'm ready", and this is how she presented herself and her snack.)
MAGGIE'S SNACK
- Ritz Whole Wheat Crackers
- low fat cream cheese
- honey ham slices
It helps to soften the cream cheese in the microwave on low power. It makes it easier for Maggie to spread it on the crackers without breaking them. She tears apart 3 slices of ham and puts them on top of the cheese. She's done and on her way to a great snack she made all by herself.

Hi Jill,
She is a cutie!!!! and a great snack too..I wonder when my lil one will start doing the same, she always wants to stick her fingers in what I am about to photograph!!
Good morning JZ!
How old is your lil’one?
Maggie didn’t REALLY start showing an interest until a few months ago.
Hey Jill, my daughter is only 2 1/2 yrs now…She always wants to poke whatever I am abt to photograph!
maybe thats how she shows her encouragement
Wow, she already has a flair for good presentation
Looks like a yummy, healthy snack.
Hi Hopie!
Thank you. Maggie has tons of flair with everything she does. She’s so much fun in ways I don’t ever expect.
This past weekend, we had our first Mother-Daughter dress shopping experience. It was so full to play dress up in the store dressing room with her. Every dress had to pass the twirling test to qualify as worthy of wearing.
Oh the twirling test is very important! I still do it myself sometimes. I hope it’s the first of many fun shopping experiences together.
Maggie is precious. Tell Maggie my grandkids thought her snack was very very good. They would have used bigger words but the don’t know those yet. They gave her a big thumbs up!
I told her, Jan. At first, she became shy then I could see the wheels in her head started turning.
And then she asked me if I would teach her how to cook something else!
So, Jan, thank you for encouraging my daughter. Sometimes, we need to hear it from others outside our family before we are set into action.
