The Foodie BlogRoll- The Queen of Blogrolls

Way back in the hot, summer month of June 2007, Simple Daily Recipes was born.  In the early months of development, there were no readers.  Just me, writing to myself about what simple recipes I fed my family the night before. Those were the lonely days.  Back then, Facebook was a "What Book?" and Twitter didn't exist.  Socializing with other food bloggers and exploring new recipes meant hunting through the search engines with no real way of connecting them together.

Until the day, I came across The Foodie Blogroll (FBR).  Then it was only this 3-inch blogroll widget that could be obtained from its creator, Jenn the Leftover Queen. There was a forum that served as a way to be part of a network of like minded cooks.  There was nothing else like it on the internet.  I remember when I signed up, Jenn was writing about how excited she was to have some 900 members.

Today, January 9, 2010, The Foodie Blogroll has 6,259 blog members.  THAT'S AMAZING!
And it's far more than a widget and a forum today.  It's grown into a beautiful site with plenty of activities and community fellowship.  There's a store and contests right and left!

If you're a food blogger, here's a snapshot of today's stats on FBR. If you want to expand your presence on the internet, you need to join The Foodie Blogroll.
