This is a very handy book to have your cookbook collection.
Sounds like a great book to have on the shelf. Busy Mom? Yes that’s me, and all my mommy readers too!
I want to win Jane’s book so much that I’d spend the entire day in my pajamas if it’d help!
Im not the Busy Mom but of my three boys and three girls, 10 grandchildren, I have plenty of people to share this book with.
I would LOVE to win this book. I am a first year medical school student, with my not planned but excited about first baby on the way. I know that if I can’t learn to make meals ahead of time, my child is likely to live off of fast food during exam times. I have a wonderful husband who can do simple tasks in the kitchen, but he can’t cook a well rounded meal from scratch. This book could be my saving grace!
Any cookbook or recipes that provide a helping hand with dinner sounds good to me. Time saving tips or preparation before hand just make things so much simpler when you have a hungry family to feed! I would love to have Make Ahead-Meals for Busy Moms.
I really want to win this book! I need all the help I can get in the coming months. I have a daughter graduating from college, a daughter graduating from high school & a daughter turning Sweet 16 all within a 6 week period! I believe this book will help me out tremendously!
I am a 58 year old mom raising 4 children ages 11, 10 and 8 year old twins. I was never a great cook before my husband and I decided to adopt our 10 year old son, and haven’t gotten a lot better since becoming legal guardian of my 3 young cousins a year later. But they tell me I’m a good cook, only I just cook the same things too often. We live in a small rural community–there isn’t a lot of opportunity for cooking lessons–so I try to find new meal ideas on the internet.
We keep the kids active in sports (currently basketball and cheerleading) and with 6 people in our busy family, I could sure use ideas on “make ahead meals.”
Whether I win it or not, it’s very nice and generous of you to give away one of your cookbooks.
~Linda
Sounds like a perfect book for me. Busy mom’s is a common thing these days since a lot of us have been forced to go back to work full time. I work 10 hour days and come home to raise my 10 month old son, and having some good quick meal ideas/recipes would be amazing!
Well, like most women these days I am busy. I am a single, full-time working, mother of a beautiful five year old daughter. I do love to cook; however, I lack the time and energy after a full day of work. Although I am blessed with a daughter who is more than happy with Chicken Noodle Soup on a regular basis, I am not so happy.
I think this cookbook has probably changed so many women’s lives for the better, and I would love the opportunity for it to change mine!
I’d love to be able to make meals for my roommate and myself as we both work long hours and never have time for a sit-down meal
I keep wondering how it’s possible to get everything done. This book looks like it will be extremely helpful, making it possible to still have good food on the table, no matter how much other stuff has to get done.
Wow, this book sounds awesome! Make-ahead meals are a must for me; it’s difficult for me to prepare dinner in the early evening because my two little girls need a lot of attention and cuddles after their afternoon naps. My slow cooker is a lifesaver, but I’d really like some new ideas!
Jane, I would love to win your cookbook because I’m a great believer in “make ahead” meals. I love to cook & always make enough for at least 2 meals because half of the time I don’t feel very well and it’s inportant that I’m able to pull something out of the freezer or the fridge that I can just reheat & serve or we’d be eating sandwiches half of the time. This book could wind up being a godsend if I won it!
Thanks for another splendid giveaway, Jill.
What a time saver. Cooking 1 or 2 times a month for most meals is so helpful when you have a home office business and a market garden. What a treasure to have a recipe book.
Need something to simplfy meal time at my house and this looks like it would help alot!!
I’d love to win this book. I have 4 kids and am definately a busy mom ! I find we are having sandwiches for dinner way too often because after everything else there just isn’t enough time to spend making a bigger dinner !
As a new mom who will be returning to work next week, I am looking for all the help I can get to keep my family healthy and organized…and planning and prepping meals ahead of time seems like a great way to start!
Amber
hmmm… Busy Mom, yes that’s me! Make ahead meals, why yes I could really use help in that area. I would really love to win this book.
Thanks.
Hi everyone!
I just want to say hello to all of you and thank you for entering Jill’s giveaway! Head over to my blog for more of my favorite recipes.
Thank you Jill for reviewing my book and doing a giveaway! I love your website and recipes!

My husband & I both work, and sometimes dinner doesn’t get on the table until 7 o’clock or after, which means we eat and then our 4 year old goes right to bed. I would love to be able to come home and all of us spend time together as a family, instead of heading right into the kitchen. I do love to cook, but have been feeling so uninspired and unmotivated lately to make the kind of meals my family needs and deserves. Thank you for your kind offer!
I’d really like to win this book! There are so many recipes that would help me out in the kitchen .. we’re bored of meat and potatoes!
I want this book so badly! I work all day (10 hrs) & by the time I get home I’m extremely tired so this book would come handy, BIG TIME.
Mmmmmm, this cook book looks yummy! I’ve tried the freezer meal books and have to admit I’ve become skeptical of the quality of make ahead meal books. Plus – how many times is it the same old lasagna and lentil soup? But this cookbook (I peeked on Amazon) looks great! There are actually recipes from different parts of the world like Thai Chicken Thighs. This isn’t your typical make ahead cookbook with recipes like Chicken Cordon Bleu, Broiled Honey Mustard Salmon, Stuffed Cornish Hens, and then the side dishes and desserts! I’d love to try these recipes out. Even though I really enjoy cooking, I’d love to have more time for the things that really matter (my 3 children, husband, and friends) and not be so rushed planning dinner in my head while homeschooling, doing our business books, keeping the house in order, and all the other things that just make up my life. Who knows, maybe I’ll get to invite a friend over and try out the Cranberry Scones!
Well said, Cheryl!
I am so eager to have one of these books that I’ve entered all the contests I can find to win one. Thank you!
I am desperate for help in the kitchen. My husband is normally the chef and recently broke his leg and will be going in for surgery next month and is laid up on the couch, so it’s up to me to make the meals. I have a 6 month old baby and a teenager. Everyone seems to want something different for dinner because my “quick – toaster or microwave meals” just aren’t cutting it. It would be so wonderful to dedicate my Sundays to preparing dinner for the week and feel like we’re getting something healthy, yet not taking up extra time in my already super busy schedule- (I fall asleep while pumping! When do I have time to make good, healthy meals?)
Thanks so much for considering me.
Bless your heart, Julie. You have your hands FULL.
Does your teenager like to cook? Sounds like a good time to let them explore in the kitchen and learn the joy of cooking. ;D
I started cooking when I was in Jr. high; my meals weren’t fancy but they were appreciated. That meant a lot to me then.
It built up my self esteem, and I felt a great sense of purpose while I prepared food. I have good memories of making hot
sandwiches and heating soups for dinner that my parents appreciated.
As a 1st time mom (of a 1 year old) quick and simple meals, as well as fix-ahead meals, are extremely important to me!
