An Unusual Apple Recipe

My family really loved that awesome Apple Crisp I made a couple of weeks back. But before these apples meet their fate, I used them for a table centerpiece over the weekend. Ina Garten, the Barefoot Contessa, inspired me to use leaves from our beautiful Red Oak tree to add a natural layer to the piece. My family and friends really noticed it and loved this simple idea, so of course, I wanted to share it with you.

My husband even noticed how the piece gave him a feeling of comfort when he walked in the door, after his long commute from work. Now that's a simple daily recipe, and you don't even have to cook!
