Attention RSS Readers, Yes You

It's been almost a year since the last time I inquired and I know there are new folks to meet.
Who are the folks behind Simple Daily Recipes' RSS number?
I watch the RSS Readers number get higher and higher. But I don't know ALL the people behind that number. And that bothers me.
Do me this favor right now, it won't take but a minute of your time.
* Leave me a "Hello" in the comment box of this post.
If you have a few moments, tell me a little about yourself.
* What is it about this blog that keeps you reading?
* Are you single learning to cook, a single parent, have picky eaters, a big family, a small family, on a budget...
I'm not looking for your mailing address, I just want to get to know you better. I want to know who I'm talking to when I'm alone at my desk with a latte sitting under my chin, typing out all these recipes. I sure would appreciate you doing this for me.
Seriously, I'm waiting and watching to hear from you.

Hello Jill! I’m Stephanie from Stephanie’s Healthy Habits. I follow your blog via RSS and LOVE it!! I am a lifetime Weight Watchers member that is always looking for good healthy recipes on the web. When I find them, I try them and post about them on my site. Also, in my spare time…I am a Certified Jazzercise Instructor in Aurora, Colorado.
Hi, I’m Lauren. I read your blog through Google Reader. I continue to read because I enjoy the recipes and they’re quick and easy. I’ve been married for almost 3 years and we have our first baby on the way. We live in Orange, Ca. I didn’t know much about cooking when I got married, but I’ve been learning and enjoying making yummy food for my husband and myself.
When I find an extra delicious recipe, I will usually post about it on my blog as well to let people know about it.
Thanks! Keep it up!
Hello!
to get ideas for recipes. And I’ve already learned a lot about food and cooking skills.
I’m a newly-married man. I have the shorter commute, so I do most of the cooking. I don’t have much cooking experience, so I subscribe to 2 cooking blogs (and yours makes the cut
I usually tag interesting recipes in my reader based on the main ingredients and type of dish, so I have been gradually building up a collection to try. I confess I’ve only tried a small portion of the ones I’ve tagged, but that just lets me have a wide range of choices when I want to try a new recipe.
(Sometimes, though, when I go back to the old recipes, the saved RSS posts have broken links to the pages on your blog. Still, I have the whole recipe saved in my reader, and I can always search your blog for them, so it’s not too bad.)
Stephanie,
I follow you on Twitter! And we share the same friends, Jerry from Cooking by the Seat of My Pants and Gina from Gina’s Weight Watcher Recipes. I like your Healthy Habits blog! You have a good sense of humor, the pictures are good, and I like your rating system. And I like that you keep it REAL. Keep it up!
Lauren,
Congratulations! Motherhood is the finest, most important responsibility we can ever uphold. I don’t care what the world says.
What’s your blog?
Joe,
If you EVER have a cooking question(s), don’t hesitate to ask me. What recipes are most helpful to you here on Simple Daily Recipes?
Hi Jill, I’m (another!) Stephani – I’m addicted to recipes and cooking blogs, and your site is one of my favorites. I’m a single mom of 3 aged 18, 13 and 11. Thanks for the time and effort you put into Simple Daily Recipes, it’s very much appreciated and enjoyed.
Hey Jill, I subscribed to your site after moving in with my special lady and looking for some simple and tasty recipes to cook up for our dinners. We live in Darwin, Australia.
I recently tried your shrimp (we call ‘em baby prawns here) tabouleh salad and it was a huge hit!
Really appreciate the effort your put into this site and the constant stream of new recipes and cooking tips. Keep up the great work! Any plans for a cook book?
Hi Jill,
I think I did this the last time you asked, but just in case I didn’t…
I live in Poland, am married with one son (and another child on the way). I work part-time and I enjoy cooking but can never find enough time to do as much as I’d like to. I love your recipes as they’re a.) easy for a semi-inexperienced cook like me b.) fun and enjoyable to make and eat c.) tasty.
Hi Jill, I am still here following every step, LOL!
I am always looking for a simple recipe – a good one. I work in a grocery store so picking up ingredients is no chore. I want to cook new things, especially veggie dishes. My kids are growing more independent but i love to have them all around the table.
I am new to your blog/site, I collect recipes as I am gluten free and am always looking for something new & different to try.
Hi Cynthia!
Now tell me, what is it like to be gluten free?
Suzanne, I have a favorite grocery store in Dallas where I WISHED I worked. All the employees there LOVE to talk food, share recipes and help me explore new ingredients. I truly believe this particular grocery store is the best place to work in Dallas. They have another location in Plano, but it’s NOT the same at all.
I was at the best location yesterday and met a wonderful gal, Rachel. She worked the Kit Kitchen, where you can pick & arrange ingredients and create easy meals to stir fry at home. AWESOME IDEA!
Anyhoo, Rachel & I must have gone on for some 20 minutes just chatting about produce. She told me that meeting the cheese guy, Jayson, inspired her to take a job at this grocery store. I’ve met Jayson and call him Mr. Fromage. He makes me want to work there too.
Good afternoon, Jill,
We will need to know where this grocery store is in Dallas! Have you ever been to the restuarant, Pei Wei? We were wondering if there was one in the area or something similar. If not will definitely have to make an occasional trip to Dallas.
Did I mention we have 16 more days? Sandra will leave tomorrow for Winnesboro (to stay with some friends) so she can close on the Satillo house Monday. Yeah!
When we get settled and catch our breath will let you know and maybe we could meet you for lunch! And, believe it are not, we will have company on the 4th of July weekend! I told them there may not be a whole lot of cooking going on just yet, but I am sure there is some very good barbecue places around those parts!
Well, off to work, have a great afternoon, and have fun at Farmer’s Market! We are so excited and so looking forward to attending! Susan
HEY SUSAN!!!
16 days? WOOHOOO! Time is flyin’!
The best grocery store to shop & work:
H.E.B. Central Market,
5750 E. Lovers Ln.
Dallas, TX 75206
http://www.centralmarket.com/Stores/Dallas.aspx
Go online and sign up for their newsletter. They’ll send you GREAT coupons in the mail and let you know what’s on sale via email.
I generally drive there once every two months to stock up on fresh spices from their bulk goods section.
I’ve written about saving money there in I CAN Save Money at the Foodie Mart!
There are several Pei Wei restaurants in the Dallas area. The closest one is 96.1 miles away from Sulphur Springs.
Firewheel Shopping Center (a great shopping center)
4170 Lavon Drive, Garland, TX 75040
Tell Sandra to ask her friends to bring her down to the farmers’ market tomorrow. Winnsboro is an easy 20 minutes away.
Sandra can meet the owner of ciboVino restaurant, Rick, and get a pre-tasting of his new restaurant, cibo-BQ. Rick smokes
up the most amazing baby back ribs for $12/rack. She’ll have to come early and get an order in before he sells out.
Hi there! Long time no talk to…
Dev and I have had a busy summer and it shows no sign of letting up! In fact, we’re getting married this Wednesday!
I read your blog because your recipes are off the chart… everything I’ve tried has come out great! I also like your light-hearted approach to cooking- no muss, no fuss!!
Thanks for the recipes…I’m an amateur chef so I enjoy cooking.
Hello, I’m an RSS reader and love recipes!
Hey SHAYNA!!
