Aunt Deb’s Layered Salad
HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED
- 1 head of Iceberg lettuce
- 10 ounces of frozen peas
- 1/2 cup purple onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped
- 1 can sliced water chestnuts
Layer the above in a square or rectangular dish.
- 2 cups mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 teaspoons pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
Mix the mayonnaise, sugar, pepper and salt together and spread over the layered salad like a seal. Then spread the two cheese evenly over the mayonnaise topping. Chill, at least, one hour then serve.
SUBSTITUTION
You could use 1 can of peas, instead of frozen peas. And if you don't have celery on hand, it will still taste great. Just don't leave out the water chestnuts.

Hi…nice recipes and entries you’ve at your blog. Interesting and lots of yummy and glorious food!! Just the other day, a friend was requesting if I know of anyone who has a great recipe for scones. Do you have one? If you do, please share with me.
Will come back time to time.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Franco! And no, I don’t have a recipe for scones. They are so delicious, too. Check through my blogroll, there are a lot of great cooks listed that may have the recipe you’re looking for.
