Hamburger & Jalapeno Pizza
Just about every weekend, we eat pizza. We like to change up the toppings from week to week, so pizza night is never boring. For this pizza, I leave the jalapeños off one side for the kiddos when we share, but normally, I prep a separate pizza just for them.

Steak and Salad Dinner
This is a beautiful and delicious meal made on the fly. Let me tell you, I had no plans to put this together. I was at the grocery store and happened to see they had boneless sirloin steaks on sale. I picked up one small steak (.88 pounds for $4.83) to feed [...]

Holy Guacamole!
Oh yea, it’s as good as it looks and zesty too!
I found this delicious version of guacamole in one of my favorite children’s books, Chicks and salsa by Aaron Reynolds. Of course, I did alter it a bit to suit my fancy and it turned out beautifully and all the chicken’s said, “Ole!”

Peanut Butter Chocolates
You may be tired of looking at chocolate recipes after Valentines. Is that actually possible? If so, think about the peanut butter filling instead. It’s my favorite part of this recipe. They're perfect for a quick breakfast or afternoon snack. My kiddos prefer eating granola bars this way and they have good time spreading on the peanut butter. Tastes even better with a glass of orange juice or milk.
Now, THAT'S a [...]

Bagels, Bananas & Honey
I love blogging about food. After slaving to get the right picture to make your mouth water, I get to eat the subject.
I discovered this week the delightful combination of cinnamon raisin bagels, cream cheese and honey. Not too much honey, just a light drizzle. I use the banana slices to sop the [...]
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Do you ever have those days when you deeply crave dark chocolate surrounded with brown sugar? Where all you want is simple, straight forward chocolate surrounded in a soft dark brown sugar shell, i.e. a big honkin’ chocolate chip cookie.
HERE’S WHAT REALLY HITS THE SPOT
1 cup packed dark brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup butter, softened
