Chat boxes are not ‘easy 1-2-3′ to install (at least not a nice one that looks sharp) and it calls for the time of a developer$$$. I will give this some more consideration.

A chat box sound interesting to me. I don’t know if I would do it or not but I’d like to try. I just type really slow and have a lot interuptions with my son.

Jill, test it out and ask your readers if it slows down how your page loads. If it in fact slows it down – nix it.

I really enjoy using Twitter and I use it A LOT. I have TwitterFox installed on my browser, so I can chat while I work on the blog. When I’m not on the laptop, I use Twittelater on my iPhone.

I’m never far from knowing when someone wants to talk to me or ask me something.

Right now, I get an email alert when you all leave comments and questions. But, that’s not real time enough for me. I want to really talk with y’all like I talk with my friends on Twitter, i.e. on a daily basis.

So would a chat box be the right tool or should y’all just sign up for Twitter?
