I used to climb the rambutan tree at my grandmother’s house back in Penang, Malaysia. It’s a very delicious fruit, sweet with nice bite to it. All you need to do is peel the hairy rough skin off to reach it’s pearly white (sometimes beige) inside. It has a woody seed under the juicy flesh so be careful when you pop it whole in your mouth. Texture and flavor similar to litchee but with a more tropical flair.
