Pizza Pasta

That's the name Max gave this dinner, Pizza Pasta.  So okay, that's what we'll call it.  Last night, the kids and I were in the mood for pizza but we didn't a pizza crust on hand.  So, Max got the idea to use macaroni.

HERE'S WHAT MAX & I PUT TOGETHER

  • 2 cups of macaroni noodles
  • 1 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce
  • 1 package of pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 cup Canadian bacon, quartered
  • 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven 350F degrees.
Cook the macaroni as directed on package, drain and put in casserole dish.  Stir in spaghetti sauce until all the pasta is coated.  Tuck in the meat slices through out the pasta.  Top it off with both the cheese.  Cover with foil and bake 25-30 minutes.

Served with a salad and a batch of Coffee Haus Cookies and you're in for a tasty night!

You can never go wrong with pasta. But I like to make my own spaghetti sauce with red wine and tons of condiments :D

This is an old recipe my family has always made, but in our version, we make it on the stove top. We cook the macaroni noodles as directed, and while its cooking we take ground beef and pepperoni and fry it in a pan. We heat up our spaghetti sauce. When the ground beef is cook through, we drain the grease and mix in the spaghetti sauce. Once the noodles are done, we add in the meat and sauce mix. When that’s mixed well we add shredded mozarella cheese and once it’s melted, we serve.
I just thought you would like to hear another version of this wonderful recipe!!!!

      Thank you, Sonya!

That’s a fast and easy way to get dinner on the table. I’ve never heard of cooking beef and pepperoni together. I’ll have to try that next time.
Thank you for speaking up and sharing with us. It’s great to have you here!
