YEAAH Laura!

These are so moist and delicious, more cake like in texture. It's no wonder you baked them twice.

Did you see the Simple Banana Coconut Bars recipe I wrote up last week?
It's almost the same recipe, but with coconut and extra spice. I had to bake that one twice in one week. The frosting isn't absolutely necessary. There's enough goodness going on from the sweet bananas, chewy coconut and pecans to keep everyone happy.

And you know, even though banana bread isn't any harder to bake, it does seem these bars are effortless to pull off.

I made these again for the second time, they are so awesome. My husband loves them and puts cool whip on his. I will make these from now on instead of banana bread.

I made these banana bars the other day and added about 3/4 cup of unsweetened coconut flakes, plus 1/4 cup pecan pieces. Ooo-Wee! GOOD!!!

I made some other changes, too. I'll show & tell you all about it soon.

Thanks Donna! I'm glad you came back to tell me. I can totally imagine these with walnuts. Like you, I always seem to have pecans on hand more than any nut. The same for the dark brown sugar. I just prefer it and use it instead of light brown. Both are good. The original recipe called for light brown sugar, so you're good.

I made these and they were so yummy it was ridiculous!!! I used walnuts instead of pecans and light brown sugar instead of dark. Had to substitute cause I made them on the spur of the moment. A big thumbs up for this recipe!!!
