    This works for simple, seasoned tomato sauce recipes.

    Ingredients

    • thick, herby tomato sauce
    • bottled lemon juice

    Instructions

    1. Add 1 tablespoon bottled lemon juice to each pint jar. Two tablespoons bottled lemon juice to each quart jar.
    2. Ladle hot thick, herby tomato sauce into hot jars, leaving 1/2-inch headspace.
    3. Secure metal seal and ring on top of jar.
    4. Process pints 35 minutes, quarts 40 minutes, in a boiling-water canner.
