My friend Jennifer on Facebook asked if we could double the brown rice recipe in the Instant Pot. I had never tried it and gave it shot today. IT WORKS. Now, I have enough rice for at least 3 meals this week.
HERE'S ALL YOU NEED
4 cups brown rice
5 cups water
With the Instant Pot, use the Manual mode button, it automatically sets the pressure to high. Use the minus button to decrease the cooking time to 22 minutes.
The Instant Pot will beep when finished pressure cooking. From that time, count 10 minutes then turn the pressure value on the lid to "venting" to release the remaining pressure from the cooker. It's totally safe. Remove the lid and voila! Perfect brown rice.
