I Make Great Looking Omelets – NOT

post thumbnail

When your omelet doesn't work out right, COVER IT WITH CHEESE, season with salt & pepper, then MOVE ON! The other day, Kelly from Sass & Veracity cooked up a Spanish Tortilla and I was inspired.  Now, today's recipe is only like hers in spirit.  I was only thinking of her the whole time I made it.  I will make her Spanish Tortilla, I WILL, I WILL. Charlie and I really grooved on this Sunday... More...

Fruit and Creamy Yogurt

post thumbnail

This best way I can describe this is, is...well, it's reminds me of bread pudding without the bread. It's cool and creamy.  The tender sweet peaches with the crunchy granola and the cinnamon mixed with the vanilla yogurt are enough to make you groan out loud.  Not like you're shampooing your hair in that old TV commercial, not THAT much groan, but more like, I'm home and my Momma just made me something... More...

Pink Strawberry Smoothies

In honor of my daughter's 5th birthday today, I'm making pink smoothies for breakfast. Maggie loves pink, chocolate, Cheetos and shoes that sparkle. How much more feminine could one gal be? Maggie was my 35th birthday present that came four days late. She's a cool kid with a lot of personality and a great sense of humor. I'd love her even if she weren't mine. post thumbnail

This simple recipe is for breakfast or dessert. I made so many, we snacked on them all day long. This past week, I picked up a 1/2 pint of organic blueberries from my local CO-OP just to bake muffins. My family absolutely loves blueberry muffins, so I wanted to spoil them just a bit. Instead of baking regular size muffins, I got out my fun mini-muffin pan and made a load of muffins. It made it... More...
