Fresh Food from Jarvis Farm

Jarvis Farm is a beautiful place to take the whole family for a day or weekend of fun.

The kids and I went there in the first week of their Pick Your Own thornless blackberry harvest. We all had such a blast and we took home memories to last us a lifetime.

The farm is owned by Steve and Lynn Jarvis. Along with their hardworking kids, they manage acres of thornless blackberry bushes, fig trees, peach trees, and variety of other fruits and vegetables. They also offer weekend camping, fishing, nature walks and seasonal duck hunting. They have a terrific wooden fort for the kiddos and separate playground to boot.

I took the chance and videoed their farm and interviewed Steve about their family operation. Take a gander at the video of the kids having fun around the farm. Then, listen in on podcast interview.

Go and listen here for the interview with Steve & Lynn Jarvis.

If you live close enough, I highly recommend visiting Jarvis Farm. If you aren’t close by, then check out their simple online store. I highly, highly urge you to get a bag of their Honey Roasted Pecans, Cinnamon Frosted Pecans, some peach preserves and a jar of Blackberry Juice Concentrate.

Just like Steve mentions in the podcast interview, the blackberry juice concentrate really does taste great in a glass of ice water, on top of vanilla ice cream, and in vanilla yogurt! It’s not a sweet syrup, it’s simply full of blackberry flavor.

Here are photos of what you can expect from Jarvis Farm.

And last but not least,

You’re supporting a true family farm when you buy from Jarvis Farm.

    Thank you, Vani.

Making videos takes more intense planning than a Thanksgiving dinner!

The kids & I just had a blast at Jarvis farm and I really cannot wait to go back for their peaches.
I read somewhere to grill them and put on top of vanilla ice cream.

    Can’t wait!

    Thank you, John!
Jarvis farms is a very cool place. Makes me want to be a farmer
and raise my kids to be hard working citizens that understand the
value of preserving God’s green earth and all it’s riches.
